Librarians' reading promotion practices at academic libraries : A qualitative study of how these practices are shaped (English)
Abstract [en]

The aim of this thesis is to examine librarians' reading promotion practices in academic libraries. It focuses on how practices within reading groups are shaped and can be perceived in a traditional understanding of academic libraries. To examine this, seven semi-structured qualitative interviews with librarians' at three academic libraries in Sweden were conducted. The analysis is rooted in Stephen Kemmis's (2011) practice theory dimension framework. The findings contribute to the understanding of librarians' reading promotion practices in academic libraries in terms of how the practices are ongoing and shaped.
