Denna studie undersöker hur teammedlemmar inom IT-sektorn upplever agila ceremonier som dagliga stand-ups, sprint-planeringar och retrospektiv. Ceremonier är avsedda att främja kommunikation, samarbete och kontinuerlig förbättring. Trots detta riskerar de i vissa fall att reduceras till rutinmässiga ritualer utan verkligt värde. Genom kvalitativa intervjuer med fem yrkesverksamma personer inom olika typer av IT-organisationer belyser studien hur upplevelsen av ceremonier påverkas av faktorer som ledarskap, teamets mognadsgrad, digitalisering och organisatorisk kontext. Resultatet visar att väl genomförda ceremonier kan skapa struktur, sammanhållning och bidra till lärande. Samtidigt uttryckte flera respondenter frustration över ceremonier som blivit monotona, oreflekterade eller svåranpassade. I större organisationer upplevdes det svårt att ompröva etablerade mötesformer. Studien belyser vikten av att kontinuerligt anpassa ceremonier till den kontext där de tillämpas, för att bevara deras funktion och relevans över tid.

This study explores the perception of agile ceremonies, like daily stand-ups, sprint planning meetings and retrospective among team members within the IT sector. It examines the tension between the intended function of these ceremonies as tools for collaboration and value creation and the risk of becoming time consuming rituals. Through interviews with individuals from various IT organizations, the study identifies factors influencing the experience of these ceremonies. The results of the study indicate that experiences vary depending on contextual factors such as leadership, team maturity and the adaptation of ceremonies to specific needs. Effective ceremonies are characterized by a clear purpose, engaging facilitation and flexibility, while ritualization occurs when ceremonies are conducted routinely without reflection or evaluation. This study emphasizes the importance of tailoring agile methods to the unique context of each team and organization to maximize value creation and minimize the risk of inefficiency.
