The research explores the provision and promotion of LGBTQ+ resources in public libraries, focusing on the perceptions of librarians in Gothenburg public libraries and neighbouring municipalities. It investigates the availability, visibility, and selection of LGBTQ+ literature in these libraries, aiming to understand how they cater to the diverse needs of patrons, particularly LGBTQ+ individuals. The study highlights the importance of promoting inclusivity and diversity within public libraries by offering a welcoming environment and access to literature that reflects the identities of all community members. By analysing librarians' perspectives on LGBTQ+ resources, the research aims to contribute to the ongoing efforts to enhance the representation and accessibility of LGBTQ+ literature in public libraries.
