Abstract [en]

We are spending an increasing amount of time indoors, often attached to screens, which can contribute to a growing sense of disconnection, anxiety, and stress. Research suggests that this is partly due to our separation from nature. Resonance of Nature – a Journey to Comfort and Connection explores the potential of combining indirect, nature- inspired visuals in textiles with dynamic RGB lighting to create a multisensory experience that fosters emotional connection and well-being. The color interaction between printed colors and RGB lights, experimental sketching, and sensory design principles were studied to develop prints and patterns that dynamically respond to changing light conditions. The approach aims to create a subtle, harmonious transformation within the printed surface- maintaining visual appeal with and without colored light. These principles can be applied to any indoor space seeking to enhance comfort, emotional well-being, and ambiance or to create a dynamic multisensory experience without the use of digital screens.
