Knitted fabric prototypes with actuating (curling) coils

Description [en]

A knitted sample that incorporates UV reactive shape-changing yarn. The sample contracts and expands due to the incidence of the UV light on its surface. The material is considered for applications in fashion design and aims to form garments capable of protecting against heat and UV light.
