Abstract [sv]

Systemutvecklingslivscykeln (SDLC) är en metod som har haft ett enormt inflytande som ett allmänt tillvägagångsätt för att utveckla informationssystem. Metoden utvecklades på 1960-talet och sedan dess har metodens aspekter förändrats avsevärt i termer av skala och komplexiteten på projekten. Agila metoder är ett avgörande begrepp i SDLC som har tillsammans med andra projektledningsmetoder förkortat tiden som spenderas på varje steg inom systemutveckling. Dessa metoder lyckades eftersom de i sig är iterativa och fokuserar på att leverera inkrementell mjukvara snabbt och optimerade. Den senaste växande av användning Artificiell intelligens (AI) med alltmer kraftfulla generativa AI (GenAI) teknologier som ChatGPT har lyft många frågor. Den största frågan är hur dessa utvecklingar kommer att kräva en omvandling inom systemutvecklingsprocesser, särskilt integrationen mellan GenAI och SDLC-metoden. 

Abstract [en]

The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a methodology that has had an enormous influence as a general approach to developing information systems. The methodology was developed in the 1960s and since then the aspects of the methodology have changed significantly in terms of scale and complexity of projects. Agile methods are a crucial concept in SDLC which, together with other project management methods, have shortened the time spent on each stage of system development. These methods succeeded because they are inherently iterative and focus on delivering incremental software quickly and optimized. The recent growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) usage with increasingly powerful generative AI (GenAI) technologies such as ChatGPT has raised many questions. The biggest question is how these developments will require a transformation within system development processes, especially the integration between GenAI and the SDLC methodology.
