Abstract [en]

The purpose of this study is to see how a Content management system can provide for different conditions for an e-commerce and how it can affect the development among their competitors. E-commerce is blooming and almost everyone shops something online today, and to keep up with the competitors it is important to stay up to date and use modern technology. This study is a case study and has been conducted as a qualitative research. The methods used to examine the framing of a question is unstructured observation, semi-structured interview and document studies. The study is delimited to examine the Content Management System of Nelly.coms and in conjunction with an internship at the company. Nelly.com is an e-commerce within fashion and is one of the biggest in Sweden. The Content Management System isn't only important for the audience on the website but also for the people who work with it. This study will also examine how the users of a Content Management System are affected by the information architectures navigation and what they require.
