Abstract [en]

Imagine a life without textiles is nearly impossible as almost everyone, everywhere comes in contact with it every single day. This is especially true to outdoor clothing, as it provides comfort, performance and protection for the human body and is also a way for people to express themselves. However, the linear system of designing, producing and using clothing has revealed disadvantages, resulting in large amounts of non- renewable resources, short lifespan of the garments that in turn ends up in landfill. In response to the growing environmental concerns associated with the textile industry, the European Union has introduced the Circular Economy Action Plan, commonly known as the European Green Deal legislation, aiming to transition the industry towards a circular system.
