Studiens syfte var att undersöka batterisortering och inhämta kunskap om ämnet igenom att undersöka dess processer, utmaningar och lagkrav som på verkar den. Detta genomfördes i samarbete med en aktör inom återvinningsindustrin som arbetar med batterisortering och tillämpar olika sorteringstekniker.

Studien grundar sig i en undersökning på ett stort företag inom batterisortering med hjälp av en kvalitativ undersökning. Läsaren har fått information om intervjuer och observationer som grundar sig för att hantera en fallstudie. Dem intervjufrågorna som ställdes till respondenterna baserade på syftet och de olika frågeställningar denna uppsats har.

Det resultatet som visade sig av studien var att med hjälp av olika förbättringsfilosofier och metodiker samt de lagkrav som ställs, kan de som arbetar med batterisortering förbättra och anpassa sina nuvarande processer för att hantera de olika typerna av batterier. Den skapade modellen är utformad för att kontinuerligt utveckla och förbättra företagets processer och dess medarbetare.

Batterisortering behövs alltmer i dagens värld med tanke på världens omställning till ett mer hållbart samhälle. Därför är det viktigt att belysa en kritiks process som batterisortering, dess processer och utmaningar. Detta är extra viktigt när batterier av olika former och innehåll blir alltmer vanligt.

The purpose of the study was to investigate battery sorting and to gain knowledge about the subject by examining its processes, challenges, and the legal requirements that affect it. This was conducted in collaboration with an actor in the recycling industry that works with battery sorting and applies various sorting techniques.

The study is based on an investigation at a large company specializing in battery sorting, using a qualitative research approach. The reader is provided information on interviews and observations that form the basis for handling a case study. The interview questions posed to the respondents were based on the purpose and various questions this thesis addresses.

The results of the study showed that by using various improvement philosophies and methodologies, along with the legal requirements imposed, those working with battery sorting can improve and adapt their current processes to handle different types of batteries. The model created is designed to continuously develop and enhance the company’s processes and its employees.

Therefore, it is crucial to highlight a critical process such as battery sorting, its processes, and challenges. This is especially important as batteries of various shapes and contents become more common.
