Arbetet handlar om renoveringar i miljonprogrammen och hur man kan effektivisera dessa med hjälp av ett Lean inspirerat arbetssätt. Genom studiens gång kommer man att på djupet analysera de arbetsmoment som i nuläget utförs för en totalrenovering av en lägenhet.

Syftet är att undersöka möjligheten till att effektivisera utförandet av lägenhetsrenoveringar i miljonprogrammen med hjälp av ett Lean-inspirerade arbetssätt.

En fallstudie kommer att göras. I rapporten kommer det att göras en nuläges analys, detta för att få detaljerade data på hur arbetsmoment utförs samt granska dessa och därefter observera slöserierna. Insamlingen av data kommer att ligga till grund för fallstudien som kommer att utföras. Med hjälp av mer detaljerade dagböcker som arbetarna ska skriva kommer man att mäta tidsåtgången för de olika arbetsmomenten.

Studien visar att det finns ett totalt slöseri på 33%. De tre största slöserierna man har kunnat finna är bygg, spackling och målning. Köken tar tid att montera ihop innan de kan monteras upp, genom att använda sig av Just in time (JIT) skulle köket kunna kom färdigmonterat till arbetsplatsen så man bara kan montera det direkt. Det snabbar upp processen och skulle vara att föredra. Spacklingen och målningen görs ofta om och detta på grund av dåligt utförd spackling, egenkontroller på arbetet skall förbättra detta. En standardisering utav arbetet krävs då varje arbetare inte utför arbetet på samma sätt och man identifierade markanta avvikelser mellan olika arbetare.
