I samband med befolkningsökningen har behovet av förbättrad stadslogistik blivit allt viktigare. Inte bara på grund av den ökade befolkningen utan även för att skapa en hållbar stadsmiljö. Det finns dock en del risker som uppkommer vid stadslogistik. Till exempel problem med buller, trängsel, dålig luftkvalitet och dålig framkomlighet som kan leda till olyckor. Alla problemen skapar svårigheter för den sociala hållbarheten eftersom områdets attraktivitet sänks. För att öka den sociala hållbarheten finns det flera olika tillvägagångssätt. Göteborg stad gjorde 2016 en reglering för att minska mängden godstrafik i området innanför Vallgraven och på så sätt öka innerstadens hållbarhet.

Den här rapporten gjordes för att undersöka vilken social påverkan den nuvarande stadslogistiken har på olika aktörer samt intressenter i området innanför Vallgraven, samt vilka möjligheter det finns att utveckla den sociala hållbarheten i området ytterligare. Studien genomfördes med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer och en kvantitativ enkätundersökning. Resultatet från de olika metoderna visar att problemen i området överensstämmer med de redan belysta problemen från tidigare forskning. För att skapa en ökad social hållbarhet finns det flera olika tillvägagångssätt beroende på området och prioriteringar. Studiens slutsats visar på att området inom Vallgraven är relativt attraktivt, trots att en del upplever buller, halvdan luftkvalitet och dålig framkomlighet. Undersökningen visar även att området inom Vallgraven saknar estetiska lösningar och att det därför borde satsas mer på det för att öka den sociala hållbarheten och attrahera fler besökare.

In connection with the increased population, the need for improved urban logistics has become more and more important. Not only because of the increased population but also to create a sustainable urban environment. However, there are some risks that arise in city logistics. For example, problems with noise, congestion, poor air quality and poor accessibility that can lead to accidents. All the problems create difficulties for the social sustainability as the area´s attractiveness is lowered. To increase the social sustainability, there are several different approaches. In 2016, the city of Gothenburg made a regulation to reduce the amount of freight traffic in the area within “Vallgraven” with the aim to increase the sustainability of the inner city.

This report was made to investigate the social impact that current city logistics has on various actors and stakeholders in the area, and what opportunities there are to further develop the social sustainability in the area. The study was conducted using qualitative interviews and a quantitative survey. The results from the different methods show that the problems in the are are in line with already highlighted problems from previous studies. To create increased social sustainability, there are several different approaches depending on the area and what the actors and stakeholders feel needs to be prioritized. The study´s conclusion shows that the area within Vallgraven is relatively attractive, although some experience disturbing noises, relatively bad air quality and poor accessibility. The study also shows that the are within Vallgraven lacks in aesthetics and therefore should be more invested into to increase the social sustainability and attract more visitors.
