Sexualitet och identitet är ett ämne som ska tas upp hos skolsköterskan, trots detta görs det sällan. Ungdomar upplever stora förändringar under puberteten, vilket är ännu svårare för de som har en normbrytande könsidentitet. De är därför i behov av att kunna samtala om detta med trygga skolsköterskor. Syftet var att belysa hur skolsköterskan upplever samtal med ungdomar kring könstillhörighet och sexualitet. Metoden som valts var en litteraturstudie med systematisk ansats baserad på kvalitativ litteratur. I resultatet inkluderades 14 artiklar. Tre huvudteman identifierades med två subteman i vardera huvudtema. Förutsättningar för samtal som huvudtema med Skapa förtroendefulla relationer och Vara medveten om normer som subteman visar hur skolsköterskans egna värderingar och agerande påverkar samtalet. Skolsköterskans stödjande och samverkande roll med subteman Föräldrarna i samtalet och Samarbeta för eleverna visar att fler personer än skolsköterskan och eleven behövs för att skapa ett bra samtal. Skolsköterskans utmaningar med subteman Kunskapsbrist och Organisatoriska hinder tydliggör faktorer som påverkar möjligheten till ett bra samtal. Slutsatsen var att samtal om sexualitet och identitet är komplext och det innefattar fler komponenter än bara de två som har samtalet. Öppenhet, lyhördhet och ett inkluderande språk förbättrar samtalet och samarbete med föräldrar och andra professioner kan behövas. Det fanns dessutom en brist på utbildning och riktlinjer vilket försvårade möjligheten för goda samtal.

Sexuality and identity is a subject that is supposed to be addressed with the school nurse, but it is rarely addressed. Youth experience major changes during puberty, and the changes might be even harder for those who are gendernonconforming. These students are in need to be able to talk to a school nurse that makes them feel safe. The purpose of the study was to examine how school nurses experience having conversations with students regarding identity and sexuality. The chosen method was a literature review based on qualitative studies. The result includes 14 articles. Three main themes have been identified each with two subthemes. Prerequisites for conversations with two subthemes; Create trustworthy conversations and Be aware of norms which shows how the school nurse's own values and how they chose to act affects the conversation. The school nurse´s supportive and collaborative role with two subthemes; The parents in the conversations and Cooperate for the students which means that more people than the nurse and the student were needed to have a good conversation. The school nurse’s challenges; Lack of education and Organizational obstacles which summarize the need for education and a supporting work environment. The conclusion was that conversations about sexuality and identity were complex and more components than the two having the conversations affects the conversation. By being open, sensitive and by using an inclusive language the conversation can improve and cooperation with other professionals and parents might be needed. There was also a lack of education and guidelines which made the conversations harder.
