The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to explore adolescents' reading habits and the function that book circles can provide for young people who expand their identity as readers. The aim is to deepen the knowledge of the users' perspectives, what drives them in their social reading, as well as to understand the function that publicl ibraries' book circles fulfill for young people who read. To achieve this, I have used Chambers' (2011) theory "The Circle of Reading". Where he does not only highlights the theory itself, but also several tips in order for the circle to be as successful as possible. I have used the circle as an analytical tool to understand the empirical data, and as an aid to write interview templates and research questions.
