This bibliometric analysis investigates the academic research trends in blockchain technology applications for digital libraries, using Scopus as the primary database. The study analyses publication patterns, citation networks, and the contributions of authors, institutions, and countries from 2017 to 2023. A manual review process was conducted to ensure the relevance of selected publications, focusing on the evolution of research in this field. The findings reveal significant growth in blockchain research for digital libraries, with contributions from key authors and institutions. Citation patterns highlight emerging collaborative networks, while specific countries, particularly China and the United States, play leading roles in advancing this research. The study provides an overview from bibliometric analysis of blockchain technology in the context of digital libraries, offering insights into current trends and future directions for research in this area.
