Abstract [en]

This collection is the storyline of a process, manifested in the methods performed in the search for individualism and static self-expression within dressing. Inspired by the principles of performing puppets combined with archetypal characters in playwriting, each look is a confident proposal of a complex, defined character that unfolds in their search for themselves. Performing puppets are recognized by their caricatured static expressions, which come alive when animated by the hand of the puppeteer. Archetypical characters serve as building blocks for character development in playwriting, recognized for representing caricatured aspects of the universal human experience. This project explores different techniques in construction, fabric manipulation, and material experimentation to build each character and highlight their individuality. The collection proposes a poetic view of how bodily poses influence the feel of an outfit and how the cut of a garment influences the physical performance of a mood.
