Abstract [sv]

Syftet med detta specialarbete är, att utifrån de två "tunga" institutionerna MIC vid Karolinska institutets bibliotek och informationscentral och IDC vid Kungl. Tekniska högskolans biblioteks perspektiv, beskriva hur forskningsbiblioteken började med datorbaserad informationssökning.

Som ram för beskrivningen, av forskningsbibliotekens datorisering, redovisas verksamheten från slutet av 1960-talet och fram till slutet på 1980-talet vid MIC och IDC-KTHB.
