Abstract [en]

Borås’s waste management system started with a pilot plan for 3,000 households, and was then implemented in the entire city over a 10-year period. During this time, laws and regulations, economic plans, technology, and environmental and social plans regarding waste management and resource recovery were developed in parallel.
