Work related stress in event agencies : a qualitative study about stress management and well-being among event agency employees (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

This study aims to investigate how employees at Swedish event agencies handle work-related stress. This is done by taking in the employees life situations and job demands and job resources into account. The study is based on two different theories, the framework Five Ways to Wellbeing, and The Job-Demands Resource model. The theories is considered to be complementary to one another since job demands and job resources can impact wellbeing and performance ability. The collected material comes from twelve different semi-structured interviews from six different event agencies in Sweden, all conducted via Google Meet. The results from the study shows that the main ways event agency employees cope with work-related stress are through physical activity, spending time with family and flexibility in working hours and remote working. Furthermore, the study also shows that employees performance ability is influenced by their well-being, support from colleagues and managers, and the balance of job demands and job resources.
