The Internet is one of the best media platforms to use when you want to promote yourself and your sport. Having a website as a golf player is a great way to attract sponsors and also a way to keep friends and family updated with a competition schedule, results and a blog. In order to have a website that the target group wants to visit and also revisit, it’s important to know what kind of information they want to read on the website. A preliminary investigation of three existing websites in the genre gave questions for a questionnaire, which were answered by people from the target group. With the replies from the questionnaire it was possible to make a website prototype with wireframes. Five people from the target group tested the prototype via contextual inquiry, in regards to what information they would like to read on the website as well as how they experienced the usability of the prototype. From the results of the questionnaire and the contextual inquiry sessions, a website proposition for a golf player were made.
