Abstract [en]
Website development is about understanding the needs of the company and its target audience so the site will be as successful as possible. The purpose of this project was to create a website for an existing company, and this report describes the process from design to finished product.
This website development has been made to the hair-salon named Kreateam which is located in Linköping. The purpose of the site is to compete with other hair-salons online and help Kreateam to market their business. To make the site as good as possible, user-studies has been done in form of empirical studies. Along with the website a graphic profile was designed to give the company a unified coherent visual design.
For this website development the Content management system Wordpress has been used, in which the client itself can easily update information and other content. Technical solutions and design decisions have been anchored in relevant literature and reliable sources on the internet. According to the empirical studies the target audience would like this website to be user friendly and trustworthy.
If new customers and visitors will be able to find the site on the internet it is important that the site can be found by search engines, such as Google. Therefore, the website has been optimized with, for example, the use of relevant keywords and semantic HTML code.
The result of this project turned into a functional, trustworthy and user-friendly website that will help Kreateams new internet marketing.
