An evaluation of Care of Carl's mobile-friendly website (English)
Abstract [en]

In today's society mobile phones are an increasingly important channel for consumers. That means it is important for ecommerce stores to appear where users are, to simplify their buying process. For companies, it is increasingly important to have mobile-friendly websites. In the last year, the percentage of companies that mobile adapted their websites increased from 37 to 58 percent. Ecommerce store Care of Carl’s mobile-friendly website is being evaluated in this essay, by using different methods. The goal is to investigate the information architecture and how it can help users to easier perform various tasks and find out what needs to be implemented to achieve a better usability for the website. The methods lead to development proposals, they are based on the results of the studies conducted and on what the participants perceived and experienced. The results shows that most of the usability problems is related to the website information architecture, such as navigation, filtration and search.
