This thesis deals with Critical Success Factors (CSF) for Business Intelligence (BI) in organizations. The purpose is to identify what CSF:s organizations in the Public Sector need to take into account when implementing BI.A theoretical framework is taken from Yeoh and Koronios(2010) general model of CSF:s in BI implementations. In the thesis, five organizations in the Public Sector are investigated through semi structured interviews, derived from the CSF model from Yeoh and Koronios (2010) in order to explore their relevance in the implementations. In the thesis, implementation strategies are explored, related to the investigated organizations. One conclusion is that the model is relevant as a guide for implementation. BI implementations are, though, dynamical and dependent on contextual factors to succeed. Therefore a general model for CSF, to be relevant for an individual implementation case, must completed with an understanding of a set of unique factors, including the organizational, processual and technological factors that constitutes the Yeoh and Koronios (2010) model.
