The main purpose of this bachelor essay is to find out if high school students experience their information seeking processes in the same way as Kuhlthau describes in her model when the students write their secondary work and also find out what kind of support the school librarians provide to the students during this process. This study is based on interviews with four students and two school librarians. The study shows that the students experience their information seeking process mostly in the same way as Kuhlthau describes in her model. This study also shows that the school librarians are not a mandatory part in this process and therefore only can support those students who actually comes to the library and asks for help.
