User acceptance of IT for primary school teachers : A qualitative study of user acceptance of new technology during Covid-19 (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

Today, all Swedish schools apply digital tools in their teaching. Digitalisation is part of the Swedish compulsory school in order to have a more digitally competent population in the future. Sweden's digitalisation has been driven forward for many years, but with the Covid-19 pandemic, schools' digitalisation was really put to the test. With this study we find out how the teachers in Borås experience the digital tools they use today via interviews with two interview respondents. To get a bigger picture, we sent out a questionnaire to various Swedish schools and received a total of 32 responses. For this study, previous literature has been studied, interviews conducted and a questionnaire sent out for the collection of empirical data. The previous research forms the basis for the study's theoretical framework and forms the basis for both the interview questions and the questionnaire questions. A model developed by Fred Davis called the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used to find out the user acceptance of teachers' digital tools. The two interview respondents were of course both teachers but with different teacher backgrounds. Our first interview respondent was a middle school teacher with many years of experience and our second interview respondent was a newly graduated high school teacher. Based on the collected material, both previous theoretical material and our data collection, an analysis was performed that laid the foundation for the conclusion we came to and presented.
