Artificial intelligence : support and streamline organisations (English)
Abstract [en]

The following study has examined whether artificial intelligence can support, promote and, in some cases, improve efficiency for companies and organizations as society becomes more digitized. The study is based on a qualitative study where the collected material that forms the basis of the study comes from companies that are well versed in the work of artificial intelligence. As well as the knowledge based on people with a general and raised experience of the work with artificial intelligence. Since previous research in this field is limited because of the new technology, there is a lack of literature study linked directly to the field. The literature that are available today is, according to today's people working in the area, outdated even though some studies are only about 5-10 years old only. The study is developed around the following question:

-    How can artificial intelligence support and streamline various functions in a company’s business processes?

-    How can artificial intelligence be best implemented in a business?

Through a theoretical frame of reference linked to the study and the subject, a deeper understanding of the concept and area of the study can be achieved. The result of the following study was that artificial intelligence has advantages and disadvantages for companies and organizations, in many cases it can support and streamline various processes and functions in a business. But depending on what type of business it is, the implementation and use is different, it varies based on the amount of data and what data type that the organization has today. The study also pointed out that without basic analyzes from each organization about how AI can help them, they can in some cases have the opposite effect, something companies do not want to experience. Therefore, it is important that organizations and their system administrators get an insight into what AI can do for their business, how it should be implemented, when it should begin that implementation, but above all why they should implement AI in the organization.
