Leader and employees communication in a change process : A qualitative case study within a municipal business to emphasize a modern communication perspective (English)
Abstract [en]

Present day enterprise and public sector are organisations subject to constant change, that is they are not stable over time. Most organisations adapt to surrounding change. A successful implementation of change in any organisation requires an interacting of more than one factor. In this research I have studied the communication between leaders and collaborators in process of change based on a qualitative case study in public home help service. The purpose is to give a better understanding of the need of communication and information from the perspective of both the leaders and the collaborators. Have the leaders communicated the need of change to the collaborators and in what degree took the collaborators part in the communication concerning the change? There is an array of studies concerning communication in change processes but most of them has either the perspective of the leadership or the perspective of the collaborators. The aim of this study is therefore to focus on both perspectives to receive best data possible.
