Experimental investigation of infiltration through a revolving door (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

In this report has made an experimental investigation has been performed. It includes studying the air penetration through a revolving door and how this relates to the energy loss through the door. There is great interest in building more energy-efficient buildings, which means a reduction of energy loss in the building and a reduction of energy loss at large in society. A special test room has been built at RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) at a scale of 1:2 in order to study the air penetration through the entrance door. The entrance door in this study is a four-wing revolving door manufactured by ASSA ABLOY. The study includes two independent methods, tracer gas measurements (tracer gas method) and temperature measurements (energy balance method). The results of the study show that the two independent methods gave similar results on the air penetration through the revolving door when operated at two different speeds.
