This essay is about Växjö University Library. It consists of two different parts, an organization analysis of the library before and after the reorganization and an evaluation of it from a user perspective.

The organisation analysis was carried out through an interview with the manager of the library and through study of original documents. The evaluation was carried out through a survey among 418 students.

We found that the library primarily is an organic organization that exists in a dynamic environment. The reorganization resulted in major improvements for the users, both concerning localities and service. The students taking part in our survey were mostly positive in their opinions about the library though they also had several complaints. According to the students the organization only partially fulfills its goals and the goals do not completely correspond to the students demands of the library.
