Due to Covid19 all physical works were presented through imagery, both at the venue and and online.
This exhibit presents examples of the work of Riikka Talman, Kathryn Walters, Holly McQuillan and Karin Peterson, both collaborative and independent. Developed through experimental design research, the work of these four PhD students from the Swedish School of Textiles aims to propose alternative ways of thinking in relation to textile, surfaces and form.
While these designers have independent research programs, their collaborative work produces cross-disciplinary ‘multimorphic’ textile-form practices resulting from a hybrid analogue/digital, 2D/3D approach, culminating in new, not previously exhibited work.
Work presented physically and orally at Design Culture(s) at Cumulus, Sapienza University of Rome, Faculty of Architecture and School Of Industrial Design, Rome, Italy, under ‘DESIGN CULTURE (OF) MAKING’.
