Abstract [en]
We did our graduation work for the game developer Swedish Online Games that will launch their first computer game in the fall of 2017. Swedish Online Games had no website previously for their game. The purpose was therefore, to investigate which content is important for high usability on a B2Cwebsite that sells a MOBA game, as well as investigating how the main navigation should look. To achieve the purpose and answer our questions, we did two studies. Our first study consisted of an observation and semi structured interview, and was conducted on a competitor's website. Our second study consisted of a card sorting. We let participants sort content that we, together with our client, had identified as important for their new website. Our methods resulted in several text-based development proposals that were visualized with exemplary images. Among other things, we came to the conclusion that product information such as price, system requirements and user reviews is important content that should be included on Swedish Online Games website. We also found that a guide for new players, a forum, as well as graphics and multimedia that shows gameplay, is of high importance. Our development proposals also include suggested labeling and structure for the main navigation.
