This article presents a study of a Habilitation Service collaboration with schools and parents where the participants were studied through observa-tion and interviewed. The purpose of the present article is to problematize the collaborations organization and counseling situations in relation to power and hierarchical structures. According to the participants in the study, the primary purpose of the interaction was to share information and to give/get counseling. The results show, however, that the joint meetings often ended up in emotional exchanges rather than in discussing pedagogical dilemmas. The analysis also showed that issues of power was one of the main features of the interaction even though none of the participants lifted it as primary.
