Sammendrag

Foreliggende studie er en kvalitativ case-studie innenfor rammen for det såkalte FLiK–prosjektet (Forskningsbasert læringsmiljøutvikling i Kristiansand kommune). Studiens hovedfokus er normalitetsbegrepet. Undersøkelsen er gjennomført ved to grunnskoler i kommunen som ble valgt ut gjennom en kartleggingsundersøkelse (Nordahl, Qvortrup, Hansen & Hansen, 2014) der skolene viser store resultatforskjeller. Studiens formål er å studere hvordan skolens profesjonelle beskriver sin praksis i forhold til «det normale» og «det avvikende», skillet mellom allmennpedagogiske og spesialpedagogiske handlinger, forskjeller i elevsyn mellom ulike praksiser og hvordan virksomheten kan orienteres i en mer inkluderende retning. Teoretisk utgangspunkt og analyseverktøy er det kulturelt-kognitive fokuset på institusjonsteorien med representanter som Mary Douglas og Ludwik Fleck. Det er samlet inn data på to skoler (A og B) gjennom intervjuer med lærere, skoleledere og spesialpedagoger. I tillegg er observasjoner av skoletimer blitt gjennomført på begge skolene.

 

Resultatene viser at det ikke er noen større forskjeller mellom de profesjonelle utøvernes snakk om normalitet og avvik på skole A. Det er også påfallende likhet mellom hva de profesjonelle sier og den konkrete praksisen som blir observert. På skole B kommer det derimot en betydelig forskjell i oppfatninger til uttrykk som gjelder de forskningsspørsmålene det er fokusert på i studien, så vel i ord som i konkret handling.
